I had an interview last week for a position that I am very interested in, and I honestly BOMBED it. I came across as nervous and my answers were too vague. I think the only good thing was that they could tell that I had researched the school. After the interview, I immediately emailed the principal--I apologized and elaborated on my answers. I also sent a hand written thank-you note in the mail this weekend. Today I got a call at 10:00 a.m. to come in for a second interview at noon! They had narrowed it down to two people. This interview went better than the first, and they just called a few hours ago to offer me the job! I know I wouldn't have even been considered without the follow up of the email and note. The AP also mentioned that she liked my brochure--an idea I got here! I am so grateful--It is funny but I somehow just feel like crying. It is going to be a challenging job, but I really want to put down roots somewhere and feel like a part of a community. So, the moral here is that anything can happen! Don't give up hope.
