Does anyone have a catchy phrase or some sort of requirement when kids are sharing their writing with a classmate? I want my class to be able to give a few compliments and suggestions. However, I don't want them to be too critical or hurtful. Does anyone have a requirement like two compliments and a suggestion, but in a catchy little phrase or chart or something like that?

    Thanks!

I like using "two stars and a wish" Students write one sentence each to praise the student for what was done well and what they liked, and then at the end they give an "I wish..." statement where the student describes what they wish would have been included in the paper/project. These can be collected, then redistributed back to the original owner of the work so they can see what they did well and where they could improve for next time.

We did a whole lesson on how to help somebody while taking care of their feelings. I've done the two stars and a wish before also.

Two stars and a wish....Love that!

I think that sounds much better than what I like and what I would do differently.
