I am planning on designing a website over the summer for my class next year. I would love to see some your class websites, so that I may "borrow" some of your ideas.

    2. Not very many of the teachers take advantage of this service. But two to check are Mrs. Schmidt (mine) and Mr. Mark Rupe

You can view my site here. It's called Lil' Country Kindergarten. It's my little 'work in progress' as I affectionately call it! ;)

Here's my site. I'm always very ambitious in July . . . but things start falling by the wayside when the school year hits in full force. LOL

I have been looking for some ideas for my classroom website. Do you have the parents sign to post classroom pictures? I see some of the teachers have pictures of students working. If you do have them sign some kind of note, what does it say?

Our district requires a signed form. In the long run, I've decided to follow examples set by more techy teachers in our district-not to show any faces on the website. So photos display student work.

I don't put photos on mine. Since mine includes our school address, I'm just too afraid of putting pictures of students on a web site. There are just too many pedophiles out there.

My district says that as long as you do not put names w/ the faces, it is okay. See your technology person to find out if you have to send a note home.

Our parents sign a technology waiver at the beginning of the year. I also have them sign a classroom waiver so I can put their pictures on my website. No names are put with the pictures though.

I haven't updated it in awhile but will do so shortly.

I teach in a low income district and most of my families are too poor to have a computer. (Poor excuse not to keep my website updated better)

I don't have a website set up yet but I want too. Did you all get yours through your district or through a service?

I'm checking out teacherweb, Schoolnotes, teach-nology, and teacherwebsite.com-- anyone use these? What works best?
