Share schedules

    I got this thought from the previous post-every year I struggle with my schedule. It seems like it's difficult to have consistent times for reading, math, etc. I love seeing other people's daily schedules to get ideas. If you have a few minutes, would you mind posting yours? Thanks!

    8:45 - 9:10 Morning worksheet/unpack settle in lunch count attendance etc

    9:15 - 9:45 Calendar, morning message, read aloud, shared reading poetry etc

    9:50 - 10:45 Workstations

    10:45 - 11:45 Lunch & recess

    11:45 - 12:10 Quiet time, music, drinks bathroom etc

    12:15 - 12:45 Journals, journal sharing, share from workstations

    12:45 - 1:30 Specials

    1:30 - 1:45 Snack

    1:45 - 2:15 Math

    2:15 - 3:00 Playtime

    3:05 dismissal

    8:35-9:10 Morning work, Choice Centers, Breakfast

    9:10-9:30 Morning Meeting

    9:30-10:10 Math

    10:10-10:45 Shared Reading (and maybe 1 or 2 rounds of centers and small group)

    10:45-11:15 Recess and Snack

    11:15-12:00 Rest of centers and Word Work

    12:00-12:45 Mini lesson and Writer's Workshop

    12:50-1:20 Lunch

    1:25-1:35 Chapter Book

    1:35-2:10 Specials (PE, Art, Music, Library)

    2:15-2:45 Unit (Science or Social Studies)

    2:45-3:15 Rest

    3:25 Kiss n Go

    3:30 Bus Dismissal

    *Last year, I started off using the D5 method with minilessons and a round afterwards but I always ended up behind; so I switched to doing all three rounds back to back. I'm not quite sure what I'll do this year though.

    8:05-8:15 Children arrive
    8:15-8:30 Free choice centers, (I take attendance and lunch count at this time and go through their folders)
    8:30-8:50- Mornign Meeting-Calendar,weather, teachers message
    8:50-9:10 Phonemice Awareness
    9:10-9:30 word work
    9:30-9:50- Shared reading
    9:50-10:05 snack
    10:05-10:30-Handwriting and writing
    10:30-11:15- Guided reading Litteracy centers
    11:15-11:25 get ready for lunch and mark folders-story if time
    11:25-11:35 wash up for lunch
    11:35-12:15 Lunch and Recess

    We also have music on Tuseday and Friday and Library on Monday.

    I then go and teach preschool and another teacher comes in and teaches math, and does centers, social studies and science in the afternoon. They also have a 30 min P.E. everyday. We dismiss at 3:17.

    I teach Kindergarten. The school day is from 7:50 - 3:30. This is my schedule:

    7:50 - 8:00 Morning Routines (Bell work, put up backpack, turn in HW, etc.)
    8:00 - 8:20 Circle Time
    8:20 - 9:00 Reading
    9:00 - 10:00 Ancillary (PE, Art, or Computer)
    10:00 - 10:30 ELA
    10:30 - 11:00 Lunch
    11:00 - 11:30 Recess
    11:30 - 12:00 Ancillary (Spanish)
    12:00 - 12:30 Rest Time
    12:30 - 1:30 Mathematics
    1:30 - 2:00 Science
    2:00 - 2:10 Snack Time
    2:10 - 2:40 Social Studies/Character Development
    2:40 - 3:10 Academic or Free Centers
    3:10 Prepare for dismissal/ mark behavior folders, etc.
    3:30 Dismissal
