One of my students gave me a Christmas present last week. I really want to mail him a thank you card, since getting letters in the mail is so special to a little kid. What should I put as the return address? Initially I wanted to write my home address, but then I worried about privacy issues.

    Any ideas?

Could you just use your school address?

What a great idea! I've never mailed thank you cards to my kids, I'm totally doing that this year!!

I use the school address also. I know the kids get so excited at receiving mail!

I have return address labels that I got from Vistaprint with my name and the school address (right down to my room number!)

I had a rubber stamp made with my name, school, and school address. I use that for anything school-related.

Of course, it really wouldn't matter if I used my home address. I'm in a very small town, so most know where I live anyway.

I'm like Ima Teacher. I usually use my school address, but my address is in the district directory since my kids attend school in the same district where I teach.

I try to always write thank you notes when students give me gifts. It models good manners, and besides, it's fun to get a card in the mail!

I also love to mail the thank-yous (you reminded me to copy down some addresses for the break). I had a parent once tell me her child slept with my card for a week ! No one gets real mail anymore, I think it's a really nice gesture.

And I agree with using the school address.
