Good Morning! I have an interview scheduled next week for a local public school system. My charter school has been in session for 5 weeks, but I'm looking to leave (due to changes to administration, work environment, etc.). What/how do I tactfully answer that question. I'm thinking now about it; I would really love to get this job! Thanks for all of your help in advance!!
Hard to answer. Fortunately, with charter schools you can opt out at any time without penalty. Just make sure that you refrain from bad-mouthing the school too much because it can backfire.
Does the school you're interviewing with already know that you work at the charter? If not, since it's only been five weeks I might consider just leaving that off of your resume. Use your last school for references.
