=) I am really happy because my screening interview this morning went very well. He told me that i did a really great job and that my chances are good because of my 4th and 5th grade endorsement. He also told me to let him know if I have any other interviews/job offers on the table.

He did say this which kind of confused me... that if I marketed myself differently or better that I would have a job in 2 weeks. HMMMMMMM.... but he said he wouldn't tell me what I could do to market myself better. It seems like he wants to keep me for his district first, which would be a good thing!! Who does that though? I want a job in 2 weeks, just tell me how to do it!

Thanks for all the resume advice and for all of the questions on the thread. =)

MrsHoot-sounds promising!! I'm not sure what he means by marketing yourself differently, and shame on him for not telling you how.

That's awesome that you're interview went well! I can't believe that he told you should be marketing yourself better to get a job and then not tell you how.

MrsHoot, I have to agree with you on the "HMMMMMM".... His choice of words.... "market yourself better" could range from just dumb on his part to very inappropriate.....

It wasn't meant meanly and he insinuated he wouldn't tell me because he wanted to keep me in the running for their schools. BUT yes shame on him for not telling me what I could do to be more marketable!

Why would him telling you how to market yourself better take you out of the running for any of their schools?

I would have waited all afternoon by his car until he left work, "What do you mean!?!" Just kidding (kinda)

That sounds so promising! Good for you!

Wow...how exciting!! I had to laugh at his tactic of trying to keep you from thinking that you're not marketable. You probably hit every nail on the head with the interview and he knows he found a diamond. Nice job!

LOL haha I should have stalked his car. =) Thanks for the confidence boost applecore!

I think his intention was that he didn't want me to get snatched up by other schools, not the ones in his district. If I don't get an interview or a position with the school, I'll call him for his contacts then and maybe he will tell me what I can do differently?

It is very annoying to think about... my husband said maybe next time you need to wear sexier clothes? haha

Is it the way I present myself? Or my resume? Or I just don't know! I mean getting the interview is the hard part... so maybe it's something with my paperwork? I just try now to think too much about it right now...

Maybe you are very personable and are a more attractive candidate in person than on paper?

Maybe if you get a job in his district he'll tell you what you could have done differently and then you can pass the tips onto us!
