SO I had an interview today for a LTS position for a maternity leave at a highly regarded and wonderful charter school in my area. They reached out to me after I had left a message about a month ago inquiring about positions- which I was inquiring about permanent jobs but see, being aggressive helps! The position is only an 8 week maternity leave but it's in 5th grade, which I love!

After all the mess the past few weeks I feel really excited about this. The best part is, the way they offered me the position: after my interview, I was walking out to my car and the curriculum coordinator literally ran after me and told me to come back in. They then said they were impressed with me and didn't want to let me go so they offered the job on the spot! :D:D I felt SO special and that made me feel awesome!

They also said there's about 5 other teachers that are pregnant and there's a good chance I can just do a bunch of maternity leaves, and if there's anything permanent I have first dibs. I have a really good feeling about the school and I feel like even though I don't have a permanent job for this year, I have an opportunity that might turn into something!

Excellent! A couple of weeks after you start, ask your principal and they could observe you, this way they could write a meaningful letter of recommendation for you (you don't have to tell them that part) :)
