As much as a paradox as it is, the world can seem big as well as small at times. Out of curiosity, I just wanted to know where you all are from. For me, I'm from Kentucky.
You may not get the responses that you desire because by and large we try to keep from giving too much information about ourselves away. Sometimes posters rant (imagine that!) and may say things that could be seen as less than loyal or "best foot forward" about our schools. We should not have to worry that our admin may see the rant of a terrible day and use it as ammunition against us in an eval, consciously or unconsciously. Many work in very large schools where it would be hard to identify individuals, while others work in small schools, where it could be very easy to identify the individual who is posting. All of that said, I will bell you that I work in a private school in NJ, having previously worked in public schools, also in NJ. NJ, however, is not where I was born and raised, so sometimes you will get a very "not NJ" kind of answer or post from me. Hope that helps satisfy your curiosity. .
You are absolutely right, rookie mistake lol. I would rephrase the initial post into a less informational question, but I don't know how to do it and the edit button is not working. I'll get the hang of this sooner or later
I would, but everytime I click the edit button it does nothing at all. Granted that I'm also typing via smartphone so that could be my problem as well.
I will be student teaching this fall. I am lucky enough to be assigned to the public high school in the north Texas town (about 7,000 people) where I live. I'm excited because it's 5 minutes from my house and two of my kiddos have recently graduated from there, so I know most of the teachers and admins.
