Anyone here on their schools SIP team?
I was at my previous school. We actually had subcommittees including Parental Involvement, Positive Learning Environment, Curriculum Delivery and something else that I don't remember. I served on the Positive Learning Environment subcommittee.
At my previous school our subcommittees were the 4 core subject areas. I was head of the Science subcommittee.
I'm at a new school this year & just before break became the co-chair with the principal.
I am on the Positive Behavior Supports Team.
All of our staff is on the school improvement team. We have subcommittees each year: site council, parent/community involvement, behavioral support, arts/technology integration, and school climate.

Not this year, I think I'll volunteer for next year though.
I'm on the SIP team. (I'm also our webmaster - even though we don't have a website yet, 4H leader, on PBS, grade level rep, and on our district common assessment team) My new principal has figured out that I have a hard time saying no to her!
We called it "quality enhancement". I was on it for math and science.
We don't have a choice. Everybody has to be on it. Each department and each committee works toward setting and reaching the goals set forth in the plan. And then we have a site council that makes sure we are implementing the things we need to implement. And we also have to report to the central office three times a year.
