Does anyone use either Storyworks or Scholastic Scope in the classroom? I'm new to 6th grade and I am looking for short stories/articles that I can use for instruction. These magazines seem to offer variety, but I wasn't sure if anyone has used them.

I use the free one that they send out occasionally. I've found that often the sixth grade ones cover material that is in our seventh grade curriculum (so we can't really use them, per district instructions).

When I taught 6th & 7th grade LA, I ordered a class set of Scope and the students loved it. It's especially good for the lower students.

It seems like these would be a big help for those switching to the Common Core and needing to add more nonfiction.
