Hi everyone - I'm new to this post. For elementary school classes, do you use Scholastic magazines in the classroom? Thanks.

For all grades, I use Scholastic magazines in the classroom. They are timely, the teacher resources/plans are excellent, and the worksheets that are provided to go with the articles reinforce the reading, while checking for comprehension, bolstering literacy, and encouraging writing skills. This is, of course, just my opinion, but I use the science magazines, the math magazines, Junior Scholastic, and at the upper grades, Upfront, Action, and Choices. They are also great for sub plans that are truly teachable for virtually any sub, while being interesting to the students. Hope this helps.

I’ve used them in my middle school classes. They are really good.
