Don't know if it's been posted here yet, but thought it might be worth a look. I've already ordered 10 books.

I had 20 items in my basket but now it won't let me in the website. When it does, I get one page and it won't load up again. Grr... I know the answer is to do it later, but I was enjoying myself!

Crap. Only for Teachers and Homeschoolers. I'm an Aide. That leaves me out.

Cut: I think the emphasis is on the "US" not the "teachers and homeschoolers."

As long as you have a school address they can send to, I'm not sure whether they care about your job title.

After all, they're sending lots of elementary stuff to my high school-- I ordered one or two things for myself, and most for the teachers of my kids.

I would assume that aides would count as well.

Seems that the site is loading slowly or not at all. Probably due to heavy traffic, and it would be best to try later.

Scholastic has been teacher friendly in the past, but personally, I've had it with them. A parent, who orders frequently, was very disappointed with the quality of two items on her Christmas order. I refunded her money because she was right ... the two items were not worth the price she paid.

In order to get my refund, I need to return the items at my expense. The message said it will take 4 to 6 weeks for the credit to appear!! Jeeze~~

Thanks for the heads-up! I REALLY wish I could have gotten Easy Science Activity Journals. I used to have it, but lost it. Cest la vie, I'll get it sooner or later.

Also, most of the really cool math books were ordered, but I still purchased five professional books. Good deal. I spent a little more than $7.00, including shipping and handling.

Be sure to check your bank account balance...

I checked mine this morning and it looks like I was charged twice by Scholastic. I only received one confirmation e-mail with one confirmation #, but somehow got charged twice. Unfortunately, they are closed and I will have to wait until Monday to get this fixed.

Same thing happened to me today, but one of the other members here said they are good about fixing mistakes.

OK, so I think I win.

I ordered 45 things... 15 for each of my kids' teachers as an end of the year gift.

Wow, I'm not the only one. I just hope they don't send out two shipments to me before realizing the mistake.

Well, I always get the teachers an end of the year present.

And who can't use more border and posters and stuff?? At $15 per teacher, I wasn't going to do any better in Target or Bath and Bodyworks.

Wow, Alice, I think we can all use more parents like you! <3

That slickdeals link at the beginning of this thread is interesting -- AFAIK, there is no limit of 10 items for the flat-rate shipping. Also, I had no problem ordering when I was an aide (I'd already gotten my first teaching job offer for the next year so I wanted stuff!) you just need a school to send it to.
