The one dollar specials are always a good choice. They're advertised on the front page when you log in to the book club site. I usually buy whatever the special is when I order for my class.

The following are all $1, as of this morning:
    Dragon Rider
    Chronicles of Narnia #1
The Snow Day from the Black Lagoon
    Wait Till Helen Comes
    Giraffes Can't Dance
    The Thing About Yetis
    The Magic Finger (Roald Dahl)
    The Secret Garden
    Space Cows ()
    Sneezy the Snowman
    Frindle

    And many others...

I ended up getting a variety the last time I ordered, so kids could choose :)

Lots of good choices there. I recommend not getting The Thing About Yetis... It was very boring to read aloud. The Dragon Rider looks interesting.

I read a summary of Dragon Rider. Not what I’d pick for grade 3

I had gotten Because of Winn Dixie for $1 in September.
Not sure if it's still there.
I actually asked for 26 people to sponsor my class this year.
$9 per sponsor gives each student a $1 book a month.

Jealous! In Canada, our book deals are $2.00. I’d love to have dollar books!

A little too late now, but I like buying the value packs of books. I recently purchased a pack of 8 different winter-themed books for $10.00.

Sorry to be replying so late-I ordered for my 3rd graders "The Dog Who Saved Christmas, and Other True Animal Tales-Lexile 870 which is a bit high for a about half my class but hey maybe they can ready it next year or read it with their parents. It was $1 or 50 points, I combined this months " $10 worth of free books" offer and I got 10 free and bought 10 and got 6 more with points so I only had to spend 10 bucks.
