I'm in a perplexing situation this year--I will be teaching 8th grade Reading with a co-teacher this year. Two to three days a week, she will be pulling out the students with IEPs to work on fluency and other remedial stuff. I'm told their comprehension is pretty good, but will need to keep them in the loop the 2-3 days a week they will be in the inclusion class. For an added twist, my co-teacher will be out of the class entirely on occasion for IEP and child study meetings. Any suggestions on how to handle the ridiculous amount of transitioning these kids will be dealing with? I just don't see how this is going to work! *I've only worked with a co-teacher once before, but if she pulled the kids for small group instruction, it was the same material I was covering with the rest fo the class. Thanks!
