On our schedule for next year, each grade level (6, 7, & 8) has 5 regular class periods, 1 enrichment hour (groups rotate every grading pd), and 1 hour for club time. During this time grade-level teachers each do a different club or activity such as Newspaper, Academic Team, Science Olympiad, etc.

My question is how do other schools schedule club time? I am worried that having this hour every day is too much. There is a chance that any one teacher could have the same students up to 3 times in one day!?

Also, students are allowed to sign up for which one they want to be a part of. If only 7 students are part of academic team then that means that one other group or club is going to have far too many students. Seems like chaos in the making to me.

Does anyone else do this at your school? Any advice, suggestions, etc?

Our clubs are all after school. We set the time and days together. I have Anime/Manga from 3:45-4:45 every Tuesday and Robotics Engineering on alternating Wednesdays.
