I am looking for daily schedules. I am having difficulty getting everything planned in a day. I would love to see some others.

I have a different schedule everyday. However, maybe don't plan both Science and SS but do one or the other. We have a 6 weeks period here so I'm doing Science for 3 weeks and SS for 3 weeks. We do have Phonics from 8:30-9:00 everyday and our Literacy Block from 9:00-10:30. The rest of my day just depends on when I have Specials.

Oh definitely- I don't do both science and social studies each day. I alternate with the units we are doing. :) Our schedule is very tight because we depend on the sped. teachers schedules and pull out/push in for everything... Not being able to arrange my schedule is tricky but... ah well.

    8:30-8:45 Morning Work
8:50-9:15 Morning Meeting: Greeting, Sharing, Calendar, Shared Reading, Morning Message, Letter Chant
    9:15-10:15 Reading Workshop
    10:15-10:25 Bathroom/Drink/Word Wall
    10:25-11:05 Writing Workshop
    11:15-11:50 Lunch
    11:50-12:15 Bathroom/Drink/Story Break
    12:15-1:00 Math
    1:05-1:40 Specials
    1:45-2:15 Social Studies/Science
    2:30 Dismiss

Right now I don't have a block of time for phonics. :( I'm integrating that through out the day during morning meeting, after writing workshop, and if I don't get to it during social studies/science time.

Miss Kirby what do you do with your letter chant? Also, what do you all include in your reading workshop? Do you chant and/or write your word wall words?

You're probably having trouble fitting everything right now because the kids don't have all the routines down yet. It will take weeks to introduce everything on your schedule, and right now it is taking my class (3rd week of school)longer to do anything than it will in a few weeks time when I don't have to explain everything over and over.
I still haven't introduced a few things yet that I do every day regularly. If you've only been in school a few weeks that's probably why you can't fit it all in yet.

For the letter chant I have a poster with the fundations letters and keyword pictures. I have a Baby Echo pointer and I point to a and say "a apple /a/" then point the the kids and they echo it back to me. We also do the sign language at this time too. The kids (and me) are finally getting the hang of it, but luckily the sign language poster is right next to it. :)

    For reading workshop we do...
    minilesson
    independent reading
    soon we'll do centers
    and sharing

For word wall we just do the cheers, but I hope to be able to find time to write them eventually too....
