    What's your favorite kind? :)

I have to say I have 2 faves:

Egg - simply seasoned w/ Lawry's seasoned salt w/ mayo on ea bread slice. I've loved it since I was a child!

Turkey - usually a cold one, but sometimes a good melt/Philly style

OK, a good grilled cheese is nice sometimes too!

I'm limiting my bread intake to whole-grain toast in the morning. So, not many traditional sandwiches for me. Occasionally, I splurge on a burger or Reuben.

Sometimes, for breakfast, I will make an open-face grilled cheese and tomato.

However, I am a HUGE fan of the unwich! I use large lettuce leaves in place of bread. Currently, I'm stuck on ham, turkey, feta and pickles.

I love peppered ham and provelone or turkey and cheddar. And Reubans. Rye bread, honey wheat wraps, sandwich thins. And all the fixins except mayo!

There's a place near where I lived in Florida that makes a sandwich called a Sunny Bird. It has turkey, cream cheese, sunflower seeds, sprouts, and honey French dressing. So good!

As far as what I make at home, they usually are on the thin round bread and have turkey, hummus, sprouts, flax seeds, and slaw-style cut veggies.

For a treat, I love a good French dip. I'm also a sucker for finger sandwiches. There's a local tea shop that does a tray of a sampler of fancy little sandwiches, and I end up getting it every time I go there!

Try it! I make a wrap of sorts. If you have JimmyJohns in your area, that is where I got my inspiration!

My dad had a great harvest of big red and yellow tomatoes in April/May. He couldn't possibly eat them all, so he would bag them up for me and bring them to me. I couldn't eat them all either, so I took them to school. My whole lunch group ended up eating tomato sandwiches for about 2 weeks! LOL. We started off with just bread/mayo/tomato, and by the end of the 2nd week, we were grilling bacon to go with it. :)

I love sandwiches... but pretty plain...
Ham (turkey, chicken) & cheese or a combo with all but I have to have like Doritos or some cheesy chip to put on it.

PB & J with homemade J, of course, & I have to have potato chips on it. My friend thought this was really weird, but now she'll come over have a PB&J & ask for chips as well & she puts them on her sandwich like I do.

Now, that I often go to farmer's markets & have pesto in my fridge, I love a turkey, pesto melt on artisan bread w/ sundried tomatoes & either provolone, swiss, or mozzarella.

I have a pannini machine that I take out every so often. As soon as the tomatoes in my garden are ready to pick i will make a tomato and fresh mozzarella sandwich with some basil that I grow. I can't wait!!

I don't recall ever having a BLT sandwich, but I'm planning to make one soon! I saw one of the chefs make a great-looking one on one of the cook shows I watch, The Kitchen.

BLTs were a staple in my house when the kids were younger; I haven't made them for a long time.

Funny you resurrected this, Ms I! But just in time or school lunches!

I RARELY eat a sandwich, but when I do it's a half sandwich at most.

This is so funny because I just got home and saw this thread while I was eating my dinner. It was a tomato and fresh mozzarella sandwich. I have been picking so many tomatoes from my garden I just try to use them up any way I can LOL I think this is the same sandwich I mentioned in this thread previously

Peanutbutter sandwich with sliced strawberries and fresh basil - no jelly!! My absolute favorite, not too sweet and very healthy.
I've also eaten it with sliced green apples (without the basil, although it might work with that), pretty good as well, and sometimes with cucumber slices. Not always in the mood for that one, but I still like it more than with jelly. That's just too sweet for me.

I am a fan of the sandwich. I like most kinds, as long as there are no onions.

My three favorites are grilled cheese, tuna, and BLT. I also like plain old lettuce and tomato sandwiches on toast. I enjoy spicing things up with different sorts of bread, including bagels, croissants, and wraps.

Lately my go-to "sandwich" is really a wrap: avocado, halved grape tomatoes, a small sprinkling of shredded cheddar cheese, and some Asian sesame dressing on a tortilla. Sounds weird, and probably is weird, but tastes so good.
