I'm going in on Monday to sign the contract for my new position and meet with the head of HR. I haven't discused salary, but I'm sure I make more at my old position than my new one. I was wondering if they ever try to match what you were making or if they just place you on their current pay scale. And do most places start you at the bottom of the pay scale even if you have a couple of years teaching? I am taking the position either way, just curious as to what I can expect.
