    Hello fellow teachers,

I have recently been offered a lead teacher job at a 5 star rated preschool. I need some information regarding the salary I should ask for. I have good experience and also a Master's degree.

    TIA

Sadly, I don't think you'll be compensated what I (and you, probably) think you're worth. I'm in the same boat (well, I'm finishing my masters), and most of the pre-schools I've checked into pay under $20,000 a year for teachers. I was an assistant at a 5-star university pre-school and the teachers got just under $30 K, but I would say that's rare.

i would do some research into your area and see what the average pay is for that job. Then you can find a starting point to work with!
