What an incredibly sad thing to happen to any parent.

From what little I know, I like John Travolta and Kelly Preston. And I'll always think of him as Vinny Barbarino :)

I find it very sad too. They seem like a close and loving family. A terrible loss for them.

It seem as though he had a seizure while in the bathroom and hit his head on the tub. There will be an autopsy.

I just read it. Apparently his son hada history of seizures. So sad....Something I would never wish any parent to experience.

I think his son looked alot like him when he was younger.

I just read where they are a homeschool family. I never heard that before and don't know if it's true.

It's possible that they had tutors for their children- can't imagine that John and Kelly taught the kids with their schedule... Jett had health issues so it may be that he was taught 'at home'.

The Pinkett/Smith family also used tutors, although in a recent article, he was quoted as saying he liked 'taking his kids to school.', or something very close to that.

    Lol- I'd use tutors..you busy,czacza??

Truthfully, I tutor about 2 hours every day after school, M-Th, every week!! I could fit you in on Fridays but Maryland would be a bit of a drive for me!!

I had a child actor in my class last year (commericals and stuff) and his mom said there's good money in 'on-set' tutoring...that would be fun, don't you think?

    John Travolta's Son

Unfortunately, I know how he feels. I lost my only daughter and even though I have 4 boys, my life will never be the same. I lost my mom and one of my only two sisters, as well as my niece, and sometimes I feel very alone.:(

The new news is that he hit his head on the bathtub and that is how he died, not seizures. Horrible

TeachCheri2008, I am so sorry for all your losses

She was born at 23 weeks with no chance of survival. It was May of 2007. I already have a 5 yr old daughter which we had problems with her as well coming early. We plan on trying one more time, but we're going specifically to an ob/gyn that specializes in high risk pregnancies.

    Your baby girl

I am terribly sorry for your experience. I will pray for you, I beieve in prayer and God healed my heart when my baby girl died very young. God then healed my womb, and even though my last son was 5 weeks early, he only had to stay in the NICU for two weeks. He was just so little that he didn't know how to suck and he was quite jaundiced. They thought that they would have to do a blood transfusion, but we prayed over him, and God intervened and he di fine. When we brought him home from the NICU he weighed 4 pounds 7 ounces and was only 17 inches long. He is now 15 and towers over me, is extremely gifted and just a joy to have for a son. I believe that what God did for me, He can do for you. My husband, son and I will keep you in our prayers.:)

Our 1st DD was 5 weeks early, but you would never be able to tell today. I believe in prayer as well. So thank you for yours. We've decided to try one more time.
