I hadn't realize that September is Roald Dahl Month until this past week. He was my favorite author as a child, and I'd love to do some activities to kick the year off with him. Anyone here celebrate Roald Dahl Month and have ideas that they'd like to share? :thanks:

One of our Dahl activities is to write a character description in his style. We study his words, sentences, organization and conventions to attempt descriptions like his.

Then we do a series of drawing lessons trying to draw like Blake. It makes a great display when they are all done.

I don't have any great ideas, but thanks for the reminder. Time to hunt down my copy of The Witches and get my Wicked Witch voice ready!
