I saw her shows in reruns, but what a lady to break down some of the barriers for women in TV!!! May her family be comforted by all who loved her and watched her on TV.
So sad!! I enjoyed her in the MTM show. She had a house in my area and was a huge supporter of the children's theater that my sister and I were a part of. She was in the audience of one of my performances but unfortunately I didn't get to meet her although my sister did and she sent her a signed photograph.
I have such fond memories of watching the show, sitting with my mother in the den. We both loved MTM.
Her show was part of my young life. I believe that because of that show, and my parents of course, I always assumed I'd have a career outside my home. I realize that seems strange today, but in the 70's, it was eye opening. Thank you Mary!
