Next year I'm hoping to move from the classroom to a library media specialist position so I've been brushing off my resume and trying to get some things ready. Last time I was job searching, I removed all my student teaching etc. from my resume because I had enough teaching experience that it didn't seem necessary. I'm not really sure how to handle that for this particular situation, however. In NYS, to get the LMS certification I did have to complete library-specific fieldwork and internships. Should I include those on my resume since they're my only library experience right now? Or just leave it at my teaching experience? If I include the fieldwork and internships, should I put it up top or prioritize the teaching and add the fieldwork/internships at the end? I know there are at least a couple of you out there who made a similar move. How'd you handle it?
