I'm hoping this is the right place to ask this question. There used to be a jobs forum but saw that is in archives. Last week I accidentally printed a few resume packets back to back instead of single sided and it got me thinking……Is it o.k. to send these resume packets out double sided? I hate wasting paper and my resume packet is 25 pages with transcripts, references, praxis scores, philosophy. Buying all the paper is getting expensive. What are your thoughts on this?

(I don't think that Job Seekers is archived. I can access it and make new posts if I want.)

I would think that double-sided should probably be okay. How long is each section of the packet?

    25 pages? I've got 19 years experience and I don't think I'd need 25 pages!

That would be my question too.

    !!!
I totally misread the original post. I thought it was 2.5 pages! I completely agree that a 25-page resume packet is silly and cumbersome.

My sense is that the vast majority of what you are including is unnecessary as part of the application process. They may be documents you'll be asked to produce if/when you make it to the interview stage, but shouldn't be included now. A package that bulky may find its way to a place you don't want it to be.

The Job Seekers subforum is under Special Interests, and now your thread is there.

I'm the same way about wasting paper but... what's in there that it's 25 pages long????! Did the employer(s) ask for all those things??
