Hi. I'm getting ready to send my resume out to various schools. I had gotten a summer job teaching elementary special ed, although I am interested in teaching regular elementary ed. Even though I'm not certified yet, I have quite a bit of teaching experience.

Now, the HR at the summer program I'm teaching at recommended me to someone who is runs an after schoool program. I interviewed and got the job. It will be for tutoring 6th - 12th graders. Once again, not the grades I am looking to work with but I couldn't turn it down LOL

    My question is two-fold:
First off, this after school position starts the first week in September. Obviously I want to include it in my resume. How can I phrase it so it can be included? (I want to start handing out my resumes sometime next week)

Secondly, to make it look better, can I write Teacher/Tutor rather than just Tutor?

    Thanks in advance!

    Anthony :D

I just looked at the web site for where I will be tutoring and they have it phrased as "academic tutor." How do you think that sounds?

    Thanks again...

Just list the beginning and ending dates...

And list the job title accurately...
