    Hi all,

I wanted to know if anyone knows the requirements to be a Resource Specialist (I'm in California).

I am currently in a Multiple Subject Credential/Master's of Ed. program. I recently substituted for a Resource Specialist and I loved it!

I appreciate any information you have :) .

I'm a new RSP teacher in CA. An MA isn't mandatory, but it certainly gives you an edge. I don't think it matters what emphasis the MA degree is, but you do need a special ed credential in mild/moderate disabilities.

Thank you for the information, Ms. I. I will have to do some work and deep thinking to see if this is the avenue I should take. I wish you the best in your new job!
