Hi Everyone, I sent a resignation letter to a charter school that I signed a contract for and I have yet to hear back from them. hmy: I sent it UPS with a signature required, therefore I know it was received. I have also called and sent emails....is there anything else I should do? FYI: the letter was received in the beginning of the week. Any insight given would be helpful.
You've done what you're supposed to do. If you're waiting on a response before you go to Plan B, I'd go ahead and start with it.
It states that 60 days notice is required....also the head of the school was there all week since she was the one who signed for the letter. I will have to call tomorrow.
It was sent and recieved this week (I got a better job offer) If they will keep me to my full sixty days I would have to stay until Sept. 28. Which the new school is fine with. I am sure they could find a replacement sooner. I just can't get anyone to contact me back. According to other staff at the school who were there last week for department meetings the head of school was there all last week. I hate to have given them less than 60 days before school started I just needed to do what was right for me.
If teachers have been in for meetings and you haven't been contacted about having to go to meetings, I would say move on with plan B- it seems that the school already is!
