Does anyone have any wonderful ideas on how to remediate representing numbers? This is different ways to show the same number. I would prefer something hands-on or interactive.
    Thanks in Advance :)

We used tens frames with counters when we did this. We also made a poster. It had numbers 1-10 on it and we wrote the numbers in different ways (number, number word, tally marks, drawings, tens frames, dice, dominoes, etc.) You could use real dice and dominoes for an activity also. When we learned about tally marks, we used toothpicks one day to represent tally marks (I talked about proper use of them before hand).

I like the idea of using toothpicks to count tally marks! I forgot about using dominoes too! Thanks! :)

Putting stickers into ten frames seems to be very motivational too :2up:
