I am starting a job at a new school teaching third grade. The school has a renaissance faire in October and each teacher is to serve on a committee for the faire. I am also assuming that we must develop activities for the faire. Does anyone have any creative ideas for this faire?

Hmm... I'd start myself by searching it in Google, and maybe typing in "elementary Renaissance faire". I've never done anything like this before. Maybe I'll find out more when I can sit down and search a little more again.

Food booths always go over well, if you're allowed to do them

    Costumes

Jousting matches with those long pool noodles

    Hair-braiding, face-painting, thumb-jousts, jewelry-making, and a booth with lots of costumes for picture-taking. . . .

Yeah, I go to real Ren Faires fairly regularly.
