As there's been a recent uptick in the number of posts that have had to be moderated, I thought now would be a good time to remind all the users of the basic forum rules. The rules can be found here: http://forums.atozteacherstuff.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_rules_policies Given that most people don't actually read all of the rules, here's a rundown of the basics. No Personal Attacks It's perfectly okay to disagree with what somebody has said, but it's not okay to attack the person who said it. As a corollary to this, just because you don't like something that somebody has said, doesn't make it an attack, nor does it make it mean or rude. Often times somebody asks for advise and the general response is not what that person wants to hear. It's not easy for the members offering that negative feedback to post it, but unless they're engaging in name calling or otherwise being rude, their posts will stand. Arguing With Moderator Decisions is Not Allowed If you have a problem with or question about a decision made by a moderator, use the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page to discuss it with the site owner. We generally discuss major issues among ourselves before making major decisions, but if you think we've made an unfair or inappropriate decision, then taking it above our heads and to the site owner is the appropriate choice. Attempting to "discuss" it in the public forums will only get your posts removed, and possibly further punitive action. As a reminder, by registering an account with AtoZTeacherstuff, you have acknowledged that you have read the rules and agree to abide by them. If you don't like the way the forums are run, you are perfectly free to find another discussion forum that better suits your needs.
