I was applying for new positions and took a 2nd grade job at a school where I've heard nothing but good things. About two weeks later, I received a call from a district to schedule an interview. I was honest with the woman. I told her that I didn't want to waste any of her time, but I have already accepted a position at a different school. Thank you for the phone call...etc.

Today, another 2-3 weeks later, I received a "thanks but no thanks" letter from this school. LOL Why do I need this letter when I told them no thanks. :)

This is probably the first time I smiled at a rejection letter.

I received a few of those too when I was looking for a job. Two of them came several months after I emailed the principal with a few questions. I never turned in an application, resume, or went on an interview. However, I received letters thanking me for completing the application process...I laughed too!

Just goes to show you, it's a standard type rejection letter obviously by a secretary with too much to do.
