Today and tomorrow there will be a Reform Symposium happening online. It's all absolutely free, and for more information you can check out www.reformsymposium.com.

Check out the schedule, and see if it interests you. Once again, it's absolutely free, and you can come in your pyjamas!

It starts again tomorrow at 6:00 ET, but of course, you can just jump in when possible. It's an international thing, so it's on at all hours. (Though the last session for the day is just finishing up, and there will be a five hour break).

The site has been down because of traffic, but it may be better now. www.reformsymposium.com

MrsC, there's been some great presentations. I'll link to one that I particularly enjoyed from last night once it's posted online. A principal of a K-6 school decided to do "Identity Day" where all students in the school did a project about something they were interested in and presented it Science Fair style. The principal had a Lakers presentation, it was really amazing what some of the presentations covered. Motocross racing to First Nations culture to Tourettes Syndrome.

I can't wait to share it with my principal (and maybe even the head of Guidance in my school district)

Last session for the night in 25 minutes:

Raffle and Fun with the RSCON10 Co-ordinators. Should be a good one! If you want to win a prize, there's still time to register at www.reformsymposium.com

Tomorrow morning, they will start again at 5AM ET. (It's an international conference, so it's on at all hours of the day and night.)

Just for the record, I have no real affiliation with this conference apart from the fact that I'm getting a lot out of it, and wanted to share it with a group of people that normally might not hear about this conference. It has been widely posted about on Twitter, but I think to only publicize it on Twitter does a disservice, as the Twitter educator population is much narrower than the wider educator population. Thanks to those who have given it a try.

For those who maybe came too late to take part, or were unable, I highly recommend you check out the archives when they are posted. My favourites so far have been George Couros' keynote on Identity Day from yesterday, and Maria Anderson's presentation on games and learning. So much other good stuff though from all the presentations!

I was late for the grading session, but it did seem excellent. I'm not sure when they'll be up, but I'll try to keep you updated. They will likely be posted on the Reform Symposium site.
