I had an interview at a high school on Friday. HR called me today to inform me the HR Director/Asst. Principal will be having an "informal" interview with me tomorrow. He will be asking questions/allowing me to ask questions. I have some questions prepared that I did not think of until after the interview.

Are there any specific questions I should ask? I do not know what to expect for tomorrow.

What questions are you already thinking of asking?

Please keep in mind HR mentioned they can get the principal on the line for some of these questions:

I will have 2 resource room classes-- will both periods be designated for the Read180 program (this was briefly discussed in the initial interview); If not--what is the resource room focus (class content help, transition to employment, social skills, etc.)

    What PD is/are available ?

Am I able to receive a copy of the teacher's manual for the biology lab to review prior to starting?

How soon can I tour the class/room?

Are the students on my case alternatively assessed? Are the lessons based off the extended standards?

Will I have an assigned mentor?

What is the thought of centered based learning?

Does the school follow a certain behavior system/protocol?

I know most of these should have been addressed during the initial interview, but I was SOOOO nervous!

I would prioritize your list. I think your questions are good, but the list is getting long. Start with the ones that are most important to you, and be prepared to leave off others if it starts to go long. If it were me, I'd prioritize your resource room focus question, the center based learning question, and the behavior system question. The others are all things that, while they'd be nice to know now, you'll find out the answers in due time. Those I prioritized will really help you to shape your classroom management and instructional plans.
