I don't want to spend more than $50.
I had one for my classroom. It was a Bissell or Hoover. It was around $100. It was the cheapest I could find.
I would have waited for more posts, but I just had to go out & get one, so I went to BB&B and got this Eureka Optima Upright Vacuum. It was normally $70, but with my 20% coupon, it came to $60.50.
Wow, I was in the vacuum market a few months ago... I didn't ever see this one. It looks pretty good. I ended up getting a Shark vacuum. I was going to go refurbished, wanting to stay in that price range (actually ~$100), but I find one on ebay (new, opened box) for $120. So far, I've happy with it. No complaints.
I vacuumed my whole apt when I got home & I like the vacuum. It's heavier than I thought, but it's good.
