I have taught kindergarten for the past three years and will be teaching third grade this year. I have some time before school starts and would like to get ideas/routines from other 3rd grade teachers. Does anyone have any good 3rd grade teacher websites that you could recommend?

    Thanks

Are you looking for websites that will serve as a resource for you, or websites that your third graders will use and navigate on their own?

This is an excellent site from a veteran third grade teacher. The amount of resources looks a bit overwhelming, but it is organized very well, and it's better to have too many options than not enough! Plus, she also has documents that you can download and modify to your liking. http://www.rccsd.org/MSmith/index.htm

Another site that I found useful was: www.learner.org. Since you've taught for several years, the language and concepts may be very familiar to you. It contains best practices and methodologies for teaching and management that are great.

    Hope it helps! :)

    website

I have taught fourth, second and now third for the past two years. I have a website with all the "stuff" I have a created or found on the internet. Many of the same things I used in 4th and 2nd I use in third with some tweaking. Feel free to check it out!

Have a try with beestar. My daughter and many of her friends are using it. The worksheets are cute, full of real life world problems, challenging stuff helps kids thinking.:thumb:
