I got the new iPhone 8 Plus and I love it! And what’s great is that my bill is lower than it was before I got the phone, haha!
Nordstrom rack is having a great sale. A pair of chukka boots for the hubs and a fringe poncho top for me.
I've recently had to replace my suede boots, my dressy tall boots, and my booties! My husband and I are also in the process of buying a new home.
OK, I seriously don't need any more clothes or handbags! I have them in pretty much every color. I started a little Christmas shopping last week. Got my fiance' a military-style jacket and watch so far.
I always go Black Friday shopping. Last year was DH's first experience with me. (We met and married fast. I don't go to a lot of stores, but I have a few favorites I never miss. I don't even Christmas shop. I just shop for stuff we need. Or want.
A new, warm parka. I have outdoor supervision duty 3 days/week and it gets cold out on that field sometimes!
New running shoes! Asics Gel Cumulus 18. Felt like Christmas Day until I went online and found out they were $20 cheaper. Gah! Lol.
Before I make any purchase I always check online to see if I can get it cheaper. I have to do this because I only set aside $300/month for spending money. I could do way more, but I want to grow my savings very fast, lol. Enjoy those new shoes!
I bought a new dress for Thanksgiving but I'll also wear it to the High Tea I'm going to next weekend with some friends! I don't think you're required to dress up but it sounds fancy so why not?
I have gone way above budget lately buying a knitted skirt and dress from Jillian boustred - amazing quality and sooo flattering!
I've bought Halloween Party supplies, candies, new boots and now I'm reading about nordstorm egift card https://giftcards-market.com/downloads/nordstrom-egift-card/. I want to buy it as a present for my niece. If you are interested, you can read a description
DH recently bought a new Xbox. We also got new phones, and I got a new watch. I switched from Samsung to Apple. I’m still adjusting.
My last purchase was spare parts wholesale online. Everything is good, everything is always in stock here, this is not the first time I order here. I am engaged in the repair of mobile phones. This is my hobby and a way to make money.
I just ordered a pair of HeyDude shoes for myself. Due any day now with baby, so I figured some comfortable shoes would be nice. My dad and brother even love theirs (and they are not even casual shoes wearers-my brother never wore anything other than work boots). It was a little splurge since everything has been going towards getting what we need for baby, but decided to treat myself.
This weekend we ordered new couches. Our current couches are 15 years old and no longer comfy. Can't wait to get them!
I ordered two dresses right before school started. I love dresses more than pants. I then had to shell out quite a bit of money to fix my car after it failed the state inspection. October is an expensive month because my fiancé, his daughter, my fiance's mom, and one other person in his family have birthdays. I bought my fiancé a book he wants to read and a Paws shirt from I think the show Community that reminds me of my crabby tortoise shell cat on her crabbier days. Other than that, nothing else is being bought unless it is necessary. I spent way too much on my car last month.
My craziest shopping spree has been at Petco. Most kitten toys entertain me! I am easy to entertain! I have bought toys from flippety fish, smarty cat (very fun), 6 foot cat condos, and others IDK the names of. However, after blowing a ton of $, I found the ultimate toy for cats. It is free and available only in the summer. A fly got inside and it kept those 2 busy all day! They leapt in the air, jumped off furniture, and did back flips until 1 finally caught and ate the fly. It probably took 10 hours for it to be caught. It was great fun! I'd like to buy a fly a day, but it is cold here now!
My amazon account probably thinks I'm insane. Today I bought jeans, socks, sheet music, a trumpet case, slide oil, and a merchant box of butterfingers!
Quite a list! The merchant box of Butterfingers sure stands out! Won’t that be too big a temptation to have in the house all at once?
Bugs are the best entertainment for cats! Things that fly and creep. Puff balls are a big hit with my cat. She has dozens. I find them under the couch and bed, behind a certain bookcase, behind the dresser, etc. She also has a couple towers. She enjoys being on top and when anyone walks by to Pat them on the head. Another fun thing for her is to play a game under the bathroom/back hall door. If I am on either side of the door, she reaches a paw under the door (linoleum floor there) and likes to bat her paw against my fingers. She’s a lot of fun. The toys do add up!
Ah, no action for almost 4 yrs & this thread's alive again, great! Interesting to see your purchases. Nothing lately here, but I plan to buy something for Black Friday, so I'll post back when I've actually done it. I hope despite what's going on nowadays that there are still some good deals then.
Two recliners. Our old ones were 21 years old and were not working quite right. We tried Lazy Boy first. We found a style we liked but would have to wait until December to get one, and until April to get the other. We ended up using Costco.
I actually keep them for students! I have found that chunking chocolate at musicians is an excellent way to keep them focused! I just have to be careful not to get them stuck in the bells of instruments. ...Chocolate stuck inside the bell of a sousaphone in July is NOT a pleasant way to spend a hot July afternoon.
It works wonderfully! The whistle works just as well. We also use laps, push ups, etc for punishments.
Nordstrom is my wife's favourite place. We always have to go there when in Chicago. However Macy's is our grand daughters fave and we have to get them presents from there plus a Macy's bag. With our British accents we always manage to blag jute bags rather than the paper or plastic ones.
OK, a confession. I am a member of the Donny Osmond fan club. Back in the 70s my wife was a big fan (and I mean absolutely barmy about him). So tonight when Donny sent me an email to tell me that he is releasing a '50 years since Puppy Love 'T shirt I had to buy her one. In fact I had to buy 2 as her best friend is also Donny crazy. Weirdly I believe that he, and his brothers, were bigger over here than in the US.
We ordered a new car back in November. However because of the semiconductor shortage delivery is scheduled for June (hopefully).
From what I can tell, Donny has barely been heard from in about 40 years over here, and Marie is only on weight loss commercials. I could be wrong as I don’t watch much TV, though.
