WarriorPrncss, good for you. Yes, damage can be done at Sephora & Ulta for sure!...& on just a few little things. I want to exchange a foundation at Sephora soon that I was trying out.
That's for sure! 8 items and almost $200 later! I really wanted the Naked2 Palette, but $52... I SO badly want to look better and feel better. I have TONS of makeup, but mostly cheap crummy stuff. So, after Ulta I went home and threw out almost every bit of makeup I had and decided this was my time to start fresh. I also went out with a teacher friend of mine... we did lunch and then ended up at an outlet mall and she introduced me to Loft... I dropped more money than I should have... but in my defense I've been working in a Detention Facility for 3 years, wearing uniforms, and I have hardly any clothing let alone stuff I can wear to school... so... I'm calling it an "investment in my future"... that works, right?
Great shopping, WarriorPrncss! We have an Ulta that only just opened last year and I can't bring myself to go in there. I KNOW I will just want to spend too much. Maybe if I only go in with a predetermined amount of cash and NOT my debit card it will be ok LOL
WarriorPrncss, sounds like a really fun time! :thumb: I like Sephora a lot better than Ulta, but I love all the new items that come out!
Shopped at TJMaxx, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Amazon, & Walmart this morning. Got: - exterior doormat - organic chia seeds - bath rugs (but if I find something better, I'll rtn them) - revolving cosmetic organizer...current one's too small - new lamp for living room: http://www.amazon.com/Adesso-Trio-F..._sbs_60_7?ie=UTF8&refRID=10DTEJ4GB82A14N43VEN
I took advantage of tax free weekend where I live. I stopped by Office Depot to buy some bins for my classroom and Hallmark for a couple of cards for a baby shower and a wedding. Then I decided I needed an excuse to use my teacher discount and treated myself to a new outfit (a polka dot skirt and black sweater) from Lane Bryant.
Hitting some end of summer sales A pair of black patent medallion sandals 3 great designer name tops A great dress I'll wear for first day of school A pair of opalescent crystal post earrings I also have a load of gift cards I can have some fun spending up over the next few weeks
I've been sprucing up the house this month, so I also got $75 worth of house plants in addition to the stuff in my last post: 1) Tropical Bromeliad 2) Small Palm for the kitchen counter 3) Bella plant...that's what receipt says, but the online pics don't look like what I have when I type in that name & my BF tore of the sticker before I saw what kind it was The stores I went to didn't have a Fiddleleaf Fig, but I may have to go to a special nursery for that.
Yay, I found my Fiddleaf Fig! It was a medium-sized, artificial one at HomeGoods, but I still got it!
Did a little shopping this weekend. Bought: - grape purple digital watch - royal blue watch - necklace & earrings
We finally got a sleep number bed! I had one back in the apartment when I was single, but we have never had one as a married couple. There was a great Labor Day sale we couldn't pass up. The mattress was delivered two days ago, and I am loving it!
Beauties! It's about 90 degrees in my classroom....I bought two end of season dresses yesterday to keep cool....one was a Calvin Klein marked waaaay down! Love a bargain!
I bought $400 worth of paint yesterday. I'm having the trim on my house painted and the porch remodeled. It was supposed to happen in early June, but the contractor didn't show up. Found a new guy, and he started work on Wednesday. My BF wants to go to IKEA tomorrow. I've never been, so I'm excited. He went a couple of weekends ago to pick out a new bed.
I think my Mom will be on the hunt for a new mattress in the near future. She's had hers for a long time. OK, I'm done! I spent $404 redecorating/sprucing my place up a bit, partially for some relatives that I thought were visiting the last wknd of Aug, but I guess now it will be mid-Sept. The only thing I wish I could still get is a much larger living room rug.
Besides $6.000 for a metal roof, $4.000 for complete basement waterproofing and $644.00 for eves troughs. ( I've never written that word before and have no idea how to spell it!)
A bottle of Pinot Grigio on the way home today to celebrate the end of the first week back at school .
Nice! I'll be over soon! I had today off....bought a skirt and pair of pants at the Gap....had a gift card!
I purchased a gym membership -- lol. On a whim I bought a groupon to a crossfit gym and I loved it. Today I officially became a member
Workout capris and tank: http://www.fabletics.com/index.cfm?...=8153E157059FB656641A05242BFBB6B5&pid=1772062
I bought these shoes. I am not sure where I will wear them or what to wear them with, but they are cute and comfortable. Most of my clothes are too dressy for them.
Got this fall bag in the NAVY color: http://www.hsn.com/products/sharif-boucle-floral-satchel-with-decorative-lock/7832085 It's not normally the type of bag I get, but I like the design & colors.
Workout capris and tank Chrysanthemums and ornamental cabbages for planters on either side of front door Great short black jacket with zipper detail. Worn with a black skirt or trousers will be polished and professional.
My latest shoes are as comfortable as flats ever are on me. I have wide feet and a high arch, so they are never really comfortable. I've worn them twice. Once with a knit dress and once with shorts. I spent $100 at Ulta today.
We got some new curtain rods/curtains/valences fora few rooms. New front door mat and kitchen mat.Next weekend I want to get some fall decor for the kitchen.
I did a good shopping trip for back to school a month ago: 2 dresses 1 pair of black heels 2 tops Today I went shopping for some basics: Running tights Soap Book: 6+1 Writing Traits in the Primary Grades
Oh, I forgot that I also picked up an indoor hanging plant to put in front of my living room window. It is so pretty with green and purplish leaves!
I spent so much on clothes this week, plus today at the Ralph Lauren outlet. I got jeans, three long sleeved v neck shirts (two black, one grey), a grey cardigan, a black v neck sweater, a purple zip up sweater, and black yoga pants, plus a really warm and cozy red, cream and grey plaid flannel shirt that has faux suede patches. I have a sort of short red skirt, dark grey and black plaid shirt dress, and a grey button down shirt coming from Lord and Taylor. I'm unsure on the skirt, but it was $38 marked down from $150 so I thought it would be nice with black tights, turtle neck and boots. I try not to buy things I'll only wear occasionally. I've gained a bit of weight so I really needed new clothes, but I'm done now! I'm working on the weight gain, but clothes not fitting was making me feel worse. I only went in three stores today and I'm exhausted. My disability and trouble walking doesn't help, but how to do people have the fortitude to face the mall? This is why I only buy Ralph Lauren--I like it, will find stuff, sizing is consistent, and don't have the patience to shop around. I considered going into Calvin Klein or Off Saks, but ugh. Couldn't face it.
Oh, I also got a case of Annie's snacks, two kinds of granola bars, and 6lbs of Fuji apples for my students. I worry about them being hungry. The apples are an experiment. I suspect that I will be making apple pie by the end of the week. And a totally out of character purchase for me: a thin silver and leopard print metal bangle from the coach store. My mom bought a tote and they were right by the register...
Me too. I'm buying an iPad pro next month, then it's wallet closed. I would like a new tote for work though, but it's hard finding well made non leather bags.
