BF & I bought tickets for excursions for our upcoming San Francisco trip: Bay cruise, 1-day hop on/hop off bus tour, & CA Sciences Academy tickets. We'll probably get tickets for a couple more things later. I haven't been to SF in 6 yrs, so I'm looking forward to it. BF's never been.
In San Francisco last week, I got: - this pretty shell bracelet - these unique shell earrings - 2 necklaces...1 of a rhinestone anchor & this blue sand dollar - 2 magnets from the gift shop...1 of the iconic Fisherman's Wharf sign for BF's mom & this cute, blue octopus one for me Not in SF, but also got some grey, bootcut jeans & aviator silver-mirrored lens sunglasses. I had a fabulous time!
Last week...local store: palazzo pants, two great flowy tanks, three pairs of shorts Over the weekend at local town sidewalk sale: stapless sundress, two pairs of light, breezy shorts
We are in the process of buying a new house. We are just waiting on the appraisal! A couple days ago we bought new furniture and a TV for the family room in the new place.
1. Plane tickets to Florida. 2. House remodeling (paint, porch upgrade, air repair) supplies. I'm having the house redone while I'm in Florida.
1. A couple dozen cedar planks to replace rotten ones on our deck. 2. 50lbs. of poultry feed for my small duck flock. 3. A small, metal tool shed kit to make a secure coop for said ducks (a hawk got one a few days ago).
*a new vaccuum *leaf blower *weed whacker *paint supplies (rollers, trays, drop cloths, brushes) *about 20 gallons of paint, enough (hopefully) to paint the inside of the new house with two coats. *selected and got an estimate on the window treatments for the bay window in the living room We were aiming to maximize on a paint sale Lowe's had and a percentage discount we were offered for new home owners.
I decided I wanted a "class pet", but couldn't decide what... Then I came across African Dwarf Frogs. SO cute and fun to watch. I decided to buy a smaller tank and a couple frogs to make sure I knew what I was doing. I bought a 3 gallon tank and have 2 frogs and an Otocinclus. So far, so good!
I bought some summer clothes from Lane Bryant that were on sale. I haven't gotten new casual clothes in a few years, so it was nice to get something new and fresh that also fit well!
Bird seed, suet, and squirrel corn. Our outdoor critters eat better than we do. Oh, and a beautiful stone pebbled bird bath.
My Mom got one for each of us for safety purposes... a Polaroid Full HD Dash Cam (for the car) with 8GB microSDHC Card: http://www.hsn.com/products/polaroid-full-hd-dash-cam-with-8gb-microsdhc-card/7808068 Also, some more Ray-Bans (w/ the pink flash lens) & this neck fan that you wear around your neck while it blows air up at your neck/face...very handy! I'm all about staying cool!
I bought dresses for open house and the first day of school, then found out we have to wear t-shirts and jeans. I also got a new custom tattoo. :thumb:
I bought a Breville Toaster. I spent $80 and I feel happy every time a perfect piece of toast pops up
I got my car windows tinted this morning. On a semi-unrelated note, there have been innumerable car break-ins throughout my area this summer. My car is immaculate (nothing visible whatsoever--I'm a neat freak) and it has an alarm, of course. But it seems like people are breaking in cars when they see something as minuscule as spare change. One of my colleagues had 50 cents on her center console (she was heading to the gas station to use the self-serve tire air pump). Anyway, she stopped at the grocery store first and had her window broken--all for two measly quarters!
Fitbit charge HR to replace the flex lost when going HAM working on my yard. Two piece bathing suit An off shoulder top Eyebobs sunglasses readers
It's added protection. If anything happens, I've got it on camera. Watch the video in the link if you want to find out more.
Outlet shopping with my girl--treated myself to a new pair of running shoes and a Calvin Klein pale pink purse.
I really want a (small) custom tattoo. Did you give them a picture to copy or just a description of what you wanted? I want to get something to do with my doggy but I'm not sure what.
Back to school shopping- 3 dresses, a pair of capris, 3 blouses, & a shrug. Vacation shopping for DD- 3 pairs of shorts & shirts, swimsuit, & undergarments.
I have some extra dough, so I bought a few gift cards for places I go to all the time via this program I'm enrolled in in which you get points (towards more GCs) when you purchase GCs & other items. However, I also get points just for clicking on certain emails, completing surveys, watching videos, etc. I got GCs for... $25 Chipotle $50 Target $30 for Regal Theatres I have some store coupons today, so I may be coming home with a few goodies today!
We discussed what I wanted, then we looked at pictures and I talked about what I liked and didn't like about each one. After that, we talked size and placement. Finally, he sketched it. There were some minor changes, then he made the stencil.
I am on the lookout for a tall secretary desk with a glass door cabinet. I have seen them online for as low as $300 but never near me. I wish I had a link I could post so you could see how beautiful they are.
I love those! I wish I had room in my house for one. My MIL has an antique one in her basement and I really want it!
....regular single vision glasses for distance. I mostly wear my contacts but need a pair of glasses for late night at home after contacts are out, making morning coffee, etc. I got an awesome pair that are kind of a squared off horn rim fading from a denim blue color on top to grey tortoise on bottom. My reading glasses I get from eyebobs.com. They have REALLY awesome styles.
This Bernardo jacket in the deep olive color. I love this brand & this is my 2nd one: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/bernard...olor=Moonrock/+Eggplant+Lining&resultback=160 My other one is a slightly different style in an eggplant color.
Do you get much use out of jackets like this in S CA? When I lived in Sacramento I rarely needed more than a sweater.
I have worn it sometimes & they're excellent for traveling since they roll up & fit in the small bag they come with. Now I have 2 in 2 great, not-your-average colors!
I decided to "splurge" a little and go to Ulta. I am makeup impaired (I didn't get that girly gene!) and I sat down with a girl who did a very basic look and taught me how. I bought a few of the items... $103 later... And then I went back... and my debit card slipped and I bought another $80 worth of stuff that she'd shown me the other day... I also bought a standing mirrored jewelry armoire. I've wanted one for a long time and now that we're staging our house to sell and I had to take my jewelry hangers off the wall-- well, it was the perfect reason to buy! And some clothes from Loft... after 3 years of wearing uniforms, having a teaching job where I will be wearing real clothing is taking a toll on my bank account.
