Started my Christmas shopping. Bought both of my children a Wii U deluxe set. I guess it is deluxe because it costs more and has a couple of extra plastic pieces. It was actually worth it because the sets came with the games they each wanted.
Ugh...Christmas shopping? Is it here already? Maybe I can get everything done on-line. Here's hoping!
I was browsing through The Container Store earlier today and got some adorable Christmas themed treat bags I'm sure I'll find a use for.
- 1 case (whole box) of printer paper from Staples for ONLY $9.99 w/ rebate (normally $53.99)! - 2 Benefit Porefessional skin products - 24-pack Bic Cristal Xtra Bold 1.6mm colorful ball point pens (yes, that's the spelling of crystal & extra) - white out correction tape - zip pouch to put cell phone, etc while walking Christmas shopping for BF...didn't expect to do it today: - iPod earbuds - DVD movie - Skechers sneakers - Adidas underwear - white chocolate sauce - $50 Bass Pro Shop gift card (got free! ) - cat toy for his mom's cat
I bought a large military tactical backpack, a knife, a compass, a Mylar blanket, and a water purification system. I'm upgrading my bug-out bag.
Nice! My sister preps. She has a whole water purification system, food, etc. I've wanted to start something, but don't even know where to begin. I think a plan for water would be the most logical starting point. I live in the desert and we had a water contamination issue a few years back, and it caused major panic and chaos.
My BF is a survivalist prepper. I'm more of a "keep myself okay for a few days until I find help" prepper. LOL He is helping me get more organized with what I already had. I live less than 10 miles from a government nerve gas storage facility. Our area also gets natural disasters like tornadoes and floods. We have had earthquakes, but they aren't common. I have to be able to shelter in place or evacuate.
Just got these earrings: http://www.hsn.com/products/sigal-style-crystal-trim-stainless-steel-hoop-earrings/7591769
We bought a house tonight! So until we sell ours, we have 2. I am excited and overwhelmed all at once!
Some plaid pants and two tops, A pair of Ralph Lauren jeans. Dh and I are shopping for a small sectional couch this weekend.
We racked up some points on my hubby's credit card! Got 3 pairs of boots, 2 dresses (one for Thanksgiving and another one maybe for Christmas). Went to craft fair and got a pretty ruffled scarf and some locally made lotions.
Bought some Bath and Body Works goodies, most I'll keep while some will be part of a Christmas gift. On a whim I bought some cozy slippers from Vera Bradley. While I was out with my mom today I found a Betsy Johnson purse I loved. Mom asked for a blender a few weeks ago so I picked one up at Wal-Mart. Tis the season!
Tomorrow I will be hanging out with my nephew so I will ask him what he wants for Christmas! Then I can start shopping!
I went to a Christmas craft and gift show today and picked up some gifts--glass ball ornaments with origami cranes inside, a t-shirt for my son and a beautiful wooden serving tray for my sister and brother-in-law.
I went to one also but only bought 2 things for myself. My husband was with me and I will have to go alone to the next one on December 7th to look for gifts because he is too difficult to shop with
It would be my husband's worst nightmare to go to a craft show! I went with a couple of friends from work.
The craft show, called The Harvest Festival, is in my area every early Dec & I go about every other year. My BF happens to love going w/ me.
- Origins Dr. Andrew Weil Mega-Bright Skim Illuminating Cleanser & Moisturizer - Michael Kors sunglasses - Jockey panties - Zip-down fleece sweatshirts...BF got for my parents - FM goodies: guacamole, salt-free lemon herb seasoning, swiss cheese, & jalapeno spread
Went to the drug store/pharmacy today to pick up stocking stuffers and to stock up on some essentials. Took advantage of sale prices and redeemed loyalty points --almost $190 worth of stuff for less than $20 (most of that was taxes).
I bought two really cute pairs of shoes. Tried posting pictures, but it was sent to the moderator on Wednesday. Oh, well . . . they're cute anyway. I also bought a 7" Kindle Fire HD for my mom. She doesn't own a television or a cell phone, much less anything else electronic. This should be interesting.
I figured out that Wal-Mart was offering the best deal on iPad mini. I ordered one for $219. It's a classroom investment.
I tried it again, and the same thing happened. Boo. I got a message that I had to wait 15 seconds between posts, but it was my first post. Then I tried again in 15 seconds and it went to the moderator again.
$145 worth of stuff at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Big Lots, Target, & Walmart: - gift wrap & some unique bows - goodies to add to my parents' Christmas present medley - gift boxes - Walmart gift cards - toiletries The day ended w/ a nice lunch at Souplantation. I haven't been there in a while!
I have decided I MUST get to Trader Joe's before Christmas!! I am having Christmas dinner at my house this year and I really want to have some TJ goodies!! My last day of work is the 18th so unless there is bad weather I definitely have time to go (too bad it's 100 miles round trip ).
Nice shoes, Ima I especially the tan bow ones! Picked up GORGEOUS black and white photo on canvas dh and I ordered for our anniversary....plus Christmas photo cards.
A plane ticket to bring my daughter home for Christmas! We usually pick her up, but she's going to spend a few days at her boyfriend's (which is 4 hours in the opposite direction). Can't argue with less than $100!
