Me too! This is the pair I got...I had to exchange sizes a few times : because the Western cut is a tough fit for me...but it finally worked out! http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/steve-m...m_sp=personalizedsort-_-browseresults-_-1_2_C
Two nice interview shirts, one in a deep blue the other white, for interviews. The fronts are woven, the sides are stretchy so they will keep looking good even after a two hour drive to the interview. $5 each at Meijer!
I replaced my soap since I was down to my last sliver: Diptyque Ombré dans l'Eau I can't face getting up at 4:20am without my soap.
Went to IKEA as soon as they opened to get a wardrobe closet. I'll order it online & have it delivered, but I at least wanted to see how it looked "in-person". My BF & I got breakfast there (total for us both incl. drinks was < $8). I also ended up getting some trinkets & edibles: - trivets - small snake plant - drinking straws - badminton set - sparkling apple & lingon beverage - sparkling pear beverages - 2 bags of crepes - bag of potatoes au gratin mollydoll, I was intrigued & had to look up that soap brand. It looks good!
Black...originally ordered on Nordstroms summer sale. They were marked down to $133. I had some gift cards from students so they ended up costing me $33.
I treated myself to some Lush products yesterday. If you haven't tried Lush it's well worth the price! Went to Walmart after my hair appointment and bought some spirals my minis will need in class and picked up some additional school things at Dollar Tree.
- Black & white ombre lightweight sweater - Blue skeleton watch - 7th & final season DVDs of Melrose Place - Nars powder foundation - Kat Von D eye sahdow palette - 100-pack of Scotch Laminating sheets - Shampoo BTW, I'm loving my new Lenovo desktop!
I love getting deals. I went shopping with my mom. She needed some new shoes. We went into a G.H. Bass outlet. I was over looking at the sandals since I could use a black pair- the pair I usually wear to school have broken down from overuse (I've gotten my money's worth and then some) and of course I could only find brown ones that I like. (Had I been looking for brown, you know I would have found all black.) I moved to the clearance section. I scored a pair of black ballet flats with little flower cut outs (super cute!) for $10. Bass shoes are soooooo comfortable and also pretty pricey. They were originally $89.99. And I paid $10. Not the sandals I was hoping for, but a great bargain! They sort of look like these but without the bow:
Cute shoes, giraffe! Today, my son and I will be shopping for a small fridge for him to have in his room. He did have one, but his sister has claimed it as her own. Guess I'll take him for a big shopping trip as well when I take him back to school.
I bought a Blackfish poster for my classroom and avoided buying unnecessary items at Costco (always a challenge). I stocked up on snacks for the kids since I am at a low SES school. I don't give them out unless kids ask for a snack, but make sure kids know they can ask. A couple weeks ago, I bought a digital scale that links with my phone. I figured I could either spend $100 on new jeans, or a new scale (I love gadgets). I haven't taken the scale out of the box yet I've been eating badly since my dad died, but I'm hoping back to work will give me more structure and help with that. I usually make a healthy protein packed smoothie for lunches.
I bought contacts and new glasses. I currently have a pair of the rimless glasses. They look great on my mom, but they are not me. I'm more of a statement frame kinda girl. I bought these. Can't wait for them to come in.
I also bought new glasses, but it was because DH stepped on mine and broke off one of the arms. After my eye doctor's office told me they couldn't order them anymore, I was thankfully able to track them down online. I had a really hard time finding ones I liked last time, and did NOT want to do that again! (And everyone tells me these glasses were practically made for my face... ) http://www.simplyeyeglasses.com/eyeglasses-sunglasses/frame.php?frid=259101 (in plum)
Amazon had a warehouse deal on the complete series of Breaking Bad for $50. I caved in and bought. I've heard too many good things about that show... I have to watch it.
Pay day was this week! Yay! I didn't go crazy with my first paycheck or anything (though I REALLY want to), but my first purchases included a new candle, a Mary Kay restock order, and dinner at Red Lobster with Sweets to celebrate.
I broke my favorite pair of black sandals over the summer. I could wear them all day with no issues. I finally found a suitable replacement at Macy's over the weekend. I wore them to work today, and they were fabulous. :thumb:
I need to get to the store for some new jeans! I just have no motivation to face the crowds at the mall.
I bought these boots today. http://www.whitemountainshoes.com/w...ite-mountain-shoes-frontier-black-bootie.html Now I'm not sure how to wear them. I'm thinking boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans, and leggings. Any other ideas?
This weekend I was on the hunt for a few more pillows for my classroom. I didn't find pillows but I found two storage ottomans on sale marked down to $7 each! I set them up today and the minis loved them!
I took advantage of the store wide 30% off at Old Navy yesterday. I got a zebra print infinity scarf, skinny khaki pants, and an adorable necklace in jewel tones I can't wait to match with something in my closet.
Haven't really shopped for fun items lately. Over the weekend, I got: - long, grey sweater w/ lg rhinestones on the shoulders from Express - Anastasia Skinny Brow Pencil - Beauty Blender makeup application sponge - I finally broke down & spent $20 for this. I've been wanting to try it to see if it's that much better than drug store sponges. - modeling clay (almost got Coffee Bean Tea & Leaf's white hot choc mix & wild cherry tea...anyone know if either are good?)
Fabletics workout wear Skirt, trousers and two tops from Loft Stainless range hood...can't wait to install Earrings at Lia Sophia party
Mossimo black weekender bag from Target...I didn't need it quite that big, but to my surprise when I got to the register, it turned out being $35, rather than $50! http://www.target.com/p/women-s-wee...t=medium_1_11&term=Mossimo+zone+weekender+bag Other toiletries from Target
6 Bath & BodyWorks hand soaps! It's like getting twice as many bottles for the price because I'm starting to make a 2nd bottle from 1 bottle (by diluting it w/ water) to save $ & have more of a lasting yummy scented soap! (Been doing this w/ my dish soap for yrs...don't know why I never did it w/ my hand soaps.)
Went to Dick's Sporting Goods today and found they were having a buy 1 get 1 free sale on a lot of clothing. Bought 4 short-sleeved button-up shirts and 2 long-sleeved button-up shirts…all Under Armour. The long-sleeved shirts were $60 marked down to $40, and the short-sleeved shirts were $40 marked down to $20. Feel like I robbed that store. Then I headed over to pick up my $900 hand-stitched lapel grey suit that I bought last week for $275 at Jo S.A. Bank. Had them tailor it with a traveler's crease, no cuff and a medium break. Fit great! Added 2 slim fit spread-collared dress shirts (one white and one lavender) for $99 (usually $60 each). And since I was obviously in the shopping mood, I also bought 3 self-identifying ties for $99 (buy 1 get 2 free…each were originally $100, so I saved $200) and 3 pocket squares for $30 (buy 1 get 2 free…each were originally $30). So, while I spent quite a bit, I saved well over 50% on the purchases…and I look like a million bucks!
Went to Target and got an adorable black and white polka dotted top I'm going to wear tomorrow along with some random things from the dollar section.
We got Chromebooks this past summer to use this year, and we got these nice sleeves for them for the kids. We had a deal with the company. The kids could choose if they wanted a case or not, and they paid for it. These are neat little things that are walking around our schools now!
