I just bought my husband a really expensive birthday present, and the only thing he said was "is it the low profile model? Because if it's not, I'm not even taking it out of the box."

No thank you, no I like it, but...nothing. Ungrateful ass.

Sorry. I love him, but this really ****** me off. Sorry for the downer, but I had to get this out.

That stings! Guys can be thoughtless sometimes. Maybe you could take him shopping with you? So sorry that happened to you.

I bought one three years ago, and never really took to it. Then about six months ago, I started using it again and I am HOOKED! Just bought a new model last month. I love being able to download books whenever I want, as opposed to going to the bookstore or ordering from amazon.

Yup, i've been downloading books from the library and free books from 2 sites. I have not paid for a book yet and don't plan on it unless it's something I can't get free.

    Nice, enjoy it! :)

Same here. Got one for myself about 2-3 Christmases ago & never got past reading the user's guide. Then, had gotten an iPad last summer, so that was definitely the end of the Nook.

I can sell it on eBay!

I'm getting a new tattoo. It's going to cost me about $100. Originally I'd planned on going to Nashville to see Kiss and Def Leppard in July with a couple of guys from work, but I decided I'd rather get another tattoo.

He's drawing it up for me right now. Getting it Tuesday.

Erin Condren Teacher Planner! So excited about this. I got it personalized with my name and school on the front and a picture on the inside. Although, I purchased it and am waiting so patiently for it. It is taking forever to ship. Boo! I'm going to be like a kid on Christmas when that package gets to my front door.

We are looking at houses! Nothing fancy but definitely a step up from the rental we are in. There is no timeline for a move, but we would like to be in a new place in a year's time. Our sectional has begun peeling its skin so that will need to be replaced soon. The company's repair warranty is worthless. Don't ever waste your money on anything called bonded leather.

I recently ordered some comfortable casual dresses online for the fall. I found three styles I loved and ordered the same ones in all different colors and patterns. I plan to pair them up with cardigans, jean jackets, blazers, hoodies, tights, leggings, socks, scarves, etc... For $489. I got 14 dress and 6 pair of leggings! That was quite a deal since I have to order tall and tall clothes always cost an arm and a leg! I got the order yesterday and everything fits beautifully! I'm very pleased with this purchase!

It's a site I found when I was looking for larger clothing for a friend. They are called Woman Within and although they do go all the way up to size 6X, they also have sizes 16-18 which is what I wear but because I'm over 6 feet tall, it's often difficult to find affordable TALL clothing. My size 16-18 is considered small sizes for their site so my clothes are super inexpensive with them! :) I refuse to spend $69-$79 at Lane Bryant for a shirt or a pair of pants which now cost on average $89 per pair for dress pants. Dresses are usually around $79 with Lane Bryant. Catherines and Avenue is no better! Woman Within gives me great quality clothing at regular people prices!

Me too! In my travels, I purchased it in Chicago since I had a $30 cash back from kohls that was about to expired. I still have another $10 cash back I'll use for additional bands. So far I love it! Can leave it on for days.

I found two cute pairs of shoes for under $50 yesterday at Younkers summer clearance sale! One pair will be for a wedding I'm going to soon, and the other should work well for teaching.

Well I may have gone a bit over board in my shopping-- at least in clothes. I so LOVE White House/Black Market and found some good sales back to back. I bought a very cute embroidery skirt ( about 60% off), cute shimmery blazer and tassel top for same type of discount, a belt for about $15, 3 shorts ($29 each), jeans, 4 tops all between $28 - $37 each. It's really good deals when they tend to be pricey. I love the quality and the styles tend to be classic.

That's a great accomplishment! I lost 45lbs myself (over the last three years) and sometimes I still accidentally look at clothes that are too big for me now. It's hard to get my head wrapped around being "less mass." Now I have to keep exercising though to keep it off!!

I also just finished King Peggy about a woman from DC who finds out she's been selected as king of a community in her native Ghana. I also recommend Princess about how life is for women in Saudi Arabia. What an eye opener!

I just bought an HD Sony Camcorder with accessories, including a 32gb card, case, and tripod. My BF had bought it, but he wasn't using it and planned to sell it. I have been wanting one, so I bought his.

Ima, your own BF actually accepted money from you for it rather than just giving it to you? I hope he gave you a good discount!
