I snatched up an Anne Klein dress regularly $168.00 for $33.00 at Lord and Taylor to wear to my future daughter-in-laws bridal shower on Sunday. At Macy's I bought a pair of Etienne Agnier sandals, regularly $85.00, for $21.00 to go with the dress.

We just got back from a week's vacation upstate.

Aside from the typical sweatshirts and T shirts, we also hit the outlets. (very selectively, as in exactly 2 stores.)

I got 2 three piece suits at the Caspar outlet. One is grey, the other Wedgewood blue. They were $100 each

Then I went to the Easy Spirit outlet for shoes. I got 4 pair for a total of $72:
2 that were reduced to $30, but it was "Buy one, get one half price", one for $15, one for $10. (They weren't elligible for BOGO)
Two are black pumps, one pair of brown pumps, and one pair of maroon (I already have a maroon suit.) I really needed the shoes; our dog has done a real job on many of mine.

Now all I need is a couple of T's or sweaters to wear under them, and I'm good to go. Doing the happy dance!!

I bought a couple new blouses for school on sale at JCPennys. Hopefully I can find a couple more on sale somewhere before everything is fall/winter attire. My classroom is directly over the boiler room and very warm even in February.

Good for you Teachling! :thumb: I'd like to have one to bring when I go on my big European trip in 2012. It will be easier to handle than a laptop.

I went to JCPenneys and bought 7 dresses and 2 tank tops to layer underneath dresses or shirts. I spent about $130.

The sales associate was great! I had a coupon for $15 off a $75 purchase. She split my clothing into two purchases so that I could save $30. Then she gave me a 10% military discount because she said she thought they should have one, even though they don't.

I bought all the dresses off the sales racks-50%, 60%, and 70% off. Between the sales racks and the discounts I saved over $350!!!

My Donna Sharp arrived the other day. I love it!

But it's way too small to use as a school bag.

So I ordered a Vera bag by Vera Bradley.

Donna Sharp does have many different sizes. Her patterns are more "me" than most of Vera Bradley's. I got my large tote on sale earlier this summer at a home dec store - marked down from about $75. to $30.

Mainly for fun. I actually got the idea from another discussion board, but it's always popular. But also, who knows. Someone may see something someone bought that they've never heard of or seen, so in essence they may learn something new! Someone seems to like it since we're at 500 posts. :)

A laptop for Lauren to use at school. Her high school is asking all incoming grade 9 students to have laptops/netbooks and are encouraging students in older grades to have them as well.

Gosh...that kid has cost me a lot of money this summer! :p

I picked up, on the advice of one of the teachers at school, 2 bottles of Halloway Quick Shine for my wood floors. They're a mess, and we just don't have the money to have them redone. They're drying as we speak. I figure, that for $20, they can't possibly look any worse than they started.

Oh, and on Monday I got a new phone. Pretty tame by current standards- no internet or anything, and no touch screen. But it does enable me to text. With the rebate, it should come to about $9.

Well, it didn't work the miracle I was hoping for!

But it did add a gloss to the floor after just 2 quick coats. So, the floors most definitely need to be sanded and refinished (Yeah, right. With a dog and 3 kids, with sand and salt accompanying us all every time we step foot into the house.) But the shine does make them look a bit better. Money well spent.

I got it at CVS (Maryanne suggested Walgreens, so they carry it too.) It cost $9.99 a bottle.
