Reading

Hey ya'll,

I am looking to purchase a good resource that features mini-lessons focused on reading for 5th grade. I am looking for a book that features inferencing, synthesizing, author's purpose, and so forth. Any suggestions?

I would suggest Guiding Readers and Writers by Fountas and Pinnell, and Comprehension and Fluency also by Fountas and Pinnell.
This is where I get ideas for all of my minilessons.

Then to teach the minilesson I would suggest good picture books.
