Was wondering if anyone has information on this profession?

I would like to hear what others know as well. I have a Masters in Literacy and I am Liteacy Certified from Birth-6th grade. I am interested in one day becoming a Reading Specialist or a Reading Coach in the future but I don't have much information about the position. I know my Reading Coach in my school mentioned that I was all set to be one now if I wanted because I have the certification.
Sounds like you are set, just check w/your district to see for specific hiring requirements. Where I'm at you can either add on an endorsement or of course an M.A. that has a reading specialist concentration.
I just know that last year my district posted an opening and it stayed open for a very long time until they finally hired someone who was working on their certification. If that's any indication, it might be a position worth exploring.
Was it because no one who applied was certified??? If that is true, than maybe I am a step ahead of many other people if I ever choose to persue it.
Only 5 applicants in 3 months and only 1 had the cert. She was hired away from another district but then changed her mind.
I am wondering where everyone got there certification at? I am looking for one that I can do online
