Do any of your schools use Reading Eggs? We just purchased it for PK-1 grades and I was wondering if you had any feedback about the product? Do the students just naturally progress through the program or do you have to assign them to a specific assignment?

I love Reading Eggs. My program is currently too cheap to buy it for us, so I have to use the free subscription repeatedly. *sigh*

To answer your question, it seems to let the student progress through the lessons at their own pace. The first thing they will do is take a little assessment to assign them their lesson level so they can start earning eggs.

They can spend their eggs playing games--but they seem to enjoy earning the eggs as much as they do spending them. :D

You might have to steer them out of the little red school house, which is mostly just "play" and not a lot of educational content. Other than that, it's very much self-directed.

Hope that helps! And congrats it is such a cool site!
