Where can I find some inexpensive plastic baskets to use for my library? I need them to be big enough to fit larger books, and multicolored.
Oh I forgot about Ikea. Not a fan of that store but I would check that out. The problem with me for dollar stores is that the closest one is 25 miles away so it costs me $12 to go there and back! Still worth it as long as I have a list. Gosh I sound cheap.
If there's an Ikea in the area, please try there. That's where I bought my bins and they are very durable.
I got some great bins at Big Lots and Ikea. I also found some cute canvas ones that are bright colors at Walmart.
I just saw three packs of sterilite ultra baskets for about 3 bucks at wallmart. They came in teal and hot pink.
I just bought some today at Bed BAth and Beyond-the ones that have the hair care area. They were between $1.09 and $2. you can use your 20% off coupons too. They were a nice big size which I have been having difficulty finding.
I got red and blue baskets for my books. I'm going to do blue for leveled books and fiction, and red for nonfiction. I got them from IKEA for 1.29 I think. The only problem is that they are pretty big and it takes a lot of books to fill up the bins!
I tend to fill up mine pretty fast. My addiction is children's books (yes I admit it). I have around 4,000 in my classroom. I like to put series in baskets by themselves.
