    Hi everyone,

I am thinking that I would like to incorporate Reader's Theater scripts into my classroom this year but I am not sure as to how to go about this. I figure that I can print out some scripts from Reading A to Z and use them with my guided reading groups throughout the year.

Do any of you use them and if so, how do you use them?

    Thanks so much!

I will actually use them as an independent activity for small groups. There may be 4 people in the group, each has a part and they read through it. I've also done it whole group and given the easier parts to kids who are struggling (or give the same part to 2 or 3 kids so no one stands out) and the more difficult passages to my advanced readers. We go to other classes to read it and I've invited parents in to hear them read through their scripts as a parent activity-but my students are also much younger. I truly believe it helps with fluency though.
