I usually use a Venus razor... but until recently it's not being very effective. I have since tried a men's gillete, and a plain disposable. Nothing is working, argh! It's probably because I shave a lot more in the summer time, so it's growing back faster, but I would just like to shave my legs and there not be stubble left over thankyouverymuch!

What kind of razor do you use???

Veet hair removal cream works wonderfully.

I usually use whatever I have in my razor drawer. Sometimes it's a fancy one, sometimes it's an off brand one. I've been thinking about doing Veet, but (of course) I never remember to pick any up while I'm in Wal-Mart.

I also use the Venus and have never had any problems. You might try changing your blade a bit more often, though, if you are shaving more than usual. Also, you might pick up a body scrub of some sort and use that on your legs before you shave. It will slough some of the dead skin cells away and give you a much closer shave.

I used this along time ago and remember it having an awful smell. Does it still have that terrible smell?

I use Venus too. I also use Schick Intuition. They've seemed to work pretty well for me, but I don't think I'll buy any more replacement razors. I'm going to try something new like, Schick Quattro.

I'm not sure what mine is, but it's got five blades and it's a man's razor.

Schick Quatro...I like it. I've been using it for a couple years. I used to use the Venus before that.

I know you said Girls only But I have to ask
Why is it that any time my wife (any of my wives) uses my Razor it becomes dull faster even after only one "girly" use ?

I have a Schick that works pretty well, but my absolute favorite is my husband's razor. I'm not sure what kind it is but it's gray and orange and has 5 blades. I've been using the same head for a couple of months and it still shaves perfectly. I just have to make sure to keep by razor head separate from his, because apparently sharing one cuts his face up really bad.

Careful with Veet, I think I got a chemical burn from it last summer - in only 2 minutes!!

Ooh, okay I need to look for these four or five blade men's razors. :)

I don't think I trust those hair removal lotions.

I use the Venus Breeze (the one that has the shave gel around the edges) and I haven't had any problems. I always think about using a hair removal cream, but you are supposed to let it grow out first, and I never can get past that part:rolleyes:

Women use the razor over more surface area than men (both whole legs, underarms, and maybe more )

I use the venus as well, but I've noticed it hasn't been working as well recently. I live in very south florida, so I shave all year long, so it can't be that I'm using it more often. Maybe I'll try the quattro.

I use Bic Soliel- they are disposable and come in pretty colors. I have never had a problem with them. Now, if I could only find a deodorant I like, I'd be all set.... :)

ROFL! I knew I could find something funny here. :p I use my DH's too...now I use it when he's not looking. He complains of the SAME EXACT thing. :p I don't know why it becomes duller, there's more hair to shave? Until they make a woman's razor as effective as a man's, your wife will always use your razor. :p

I have yet to meet a deodorant that lives up to its name of NOT leaving ANY white on a dress. Hmph.

Oh, for deodorant, I usually use Secret gel...vanilla chai...but when I run out, I have no qualms about stealing my husbands Old Spice (don't laugh or think I am weird)...I really like Old Spice deodorant for men...it is blue gel stuff, and doesn't smell too manly....i guess....I like it anyways! :dunno:

I had the same problem as the OP. I started using Jergen's shave reducing lotion and it has really, really helped. I use it twice a day, morning and before bed, and I can actually go 3-4 days between shaving. It did take about 3 weeks for it to be truly effective, but I started noticing that my leg hair was less course after only about a week and a half.

I bought the Quattro for women. It's nice and works decent. I still have to shave over the same area like three times because my hair grows in all different directions. Ugh.
