My 5 year old niece and I went to see it last week and we both loved it. It is really cute and really clean. The one thing that she giggled on throughout the movie and on the drive home was that one of the characters said "Rat Patooty" and she thought that was the funniest thing ever. She kept coming up with her own, "Rat booty", "Rat mooty".....lol

I saw it and loved it. I love Pixar movies anyway. You should definitely take your kids to see it. If you like cooking and/or watch cooking shows there are even more "inside" jokes.

I saw it and thought it was very cute. My only complaint is that I had nightmares about rats after I watched it. And in my dreams, they weren't cute little cartoon rats!

I LOVED the movie. It was very cute and clean and just fun to watch. Although, there were some small children (AND an infant who wouldn't stop crying- why they brought an infant....), well, these small children at the end of the movie kept asking, "is it over yet?". There's not really any explosions or car fights, or body parts flying, and there is a lot of talking, so some people with short attention spans may hate the movie. I, on the other hand, adore the movie.

    Rabbit,

I love this site - Kids-in-Mind - and use it to find out just what to expect of a movie before taking my kids. They give ratings for Sex/Nudity, Violence/Gore, and Profanity. Then they say WHY they gave that rating. Hope this helps!

I'm going to take my 5 year old daughters to see Ratatouille!

Another really good site for evaluating movies is http://www.pluggedinonline.com/

I personally wasn't impressed by Ratatouille. My friends and I went to see it, and we thought most of the funny parts were shown in the previews. We also had a crying baby behind us and a guy who repeatedly talked on his cell phone next to us, so our views could be a bit tainted.

I saw it and really liked it. The animation was really great. Maybe a little too great, because I have a slight fear of rats, and some of the scenes creeped me out a bit!! I agree that kids with very low attention spands may not enough it as much. But I thought it was a really cute movie, and had a good message.

I took my five and three year old daughters to see this on Sunday afternoon. They both laughed their way through the film. We are a pixar family, and my husband and I both agree that this is better than both Cars and The Incredibles, writing wise.

I am a bit concerned about my 3 year old grandson being bothered by the "rats!" Are they scary looking or what??????

We took my almost 4 year old. It was his first time in the theatre and he absolutely loved it. There are 2 scenes that should NOT have been in a 'G' movie (1. Wife is holding a gun at hubby. hubby says something like you don't have the guts to do it and she shoots him. It's in silhouette and it's quick, but I though it was totally inappropriate. 2. Remy, the main rat character, and his dad go up into city streets and his dad warns him to stay away from humans and shows him a store window filled with rat poison and dead rats hanging in it. Not as quick as the other bad scene-we distracted our son once it popped up.) Overall, it's a great movie. I would still recommend it. The rats are not cartoony cute, but they are not scary looking either. My son is very timid and he loved it. He loves to cook with me and he cackled through the kitchen scenes.

My five year old absolutely loved it!

We went to see Surf's Up yesterday, she wasn't as impressed with it.

I was surprised to hear "h***" and gun violence in a rated G movie.
Maybe I am a prude- but I don't think a G movie would have profanity and gun violence....
